• What is Sauna Va Beach PNW?

Sauna Va Beach PNW is a beautifully crafted 20ft x 9ft Finnish wood-fired cedar sauna on wheels. We bring the timeless ritual of sauna to Oregon’s North Coast, creating a space to slow down, connect with others, and restore in the heart of nature.

  • Where are you located?

We’re based in Rockaway Beach, Oregon, but our mobile sauna allows us to host pop-ups, collaborations, and private bookings across the North Coast (up to Arch Cape)

  • Do I need to book in advance?

Yes, we recommend booking ahead to secure your spot. Walk-ups may be available during public events, but reservations guarantee your time in the sauna.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

24+ hours notice: Full refund or reschedule

Less than 24 hours: Non-refundable, but we’ll do our best to accommodate a reschedule if possible.

Weather: The sauna operates rain or shine (it’s the PNW!), but if extreme weather makes it unsafe, we’ll notify you and reschedule/refund.

  • Is it safe for everyone?

Most healthy adults can safely enjoy sauna use. However, sauna is not recommended if you are pregnant, under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or have certain medical conditions (heart disease, uncontrolled blood pressure, respiratory illness). Always check with your healthcare provider if you’re unsure.

  • How hot does it get?

Our sauna typically ranges from 130Β°F–180Β°F (55Β°C–80Β°C). The wood-fired stove and steam (lΓΆyly) are carefully managed by a sauna tender to create a safe, balanced experience.

  • What if I’ve never done a sauna before?

No problem! Many of our guests are new to sauna. Our sauna tender will guide you through the basics, including how to pace yourself, stay hydrated, and get the most out of the experience.n goes here

  • Can kids use the sauna?

Sauna use is generally recommended for adults. Children under 18 are not permitted for safety reasons.

  • How long are sauna sessions?

Sessions typically last 45-60 minutes. You’ll cycle between heat, rest, and (if you choose) a refreshing dip in the ocean or nearby water access.

  • Before & After Your Sauna Session

Hydrate well before and after β€” your body will thank you.

Avoid heavy meals or alcohol beforehand.

Arrive 10–15 minutes early to settle in.

Move slowly and allow your body to cool naturally after your session.

Drink plenty of water or electrolytes post-sauna to replenish fluids.

Enjoy the calm, grounded feeling that follows β€” it’s part of the experience.

  • Are there showers or cold plunges?

We’re surrounded by abundant natural water, so rather than traditional cold plunges, we embrace what’s already here.

Our sauna locations are intentionally near rivers, bays, and the ocean, inviting you to take a refreshing dip in nature.

Outdoor rinse stations are also available just outside the sauna.

  • Can I book for private groups or events?

Because each city, park, and private property has its own regulations, it’s the host’s responsibility to confirm permitted land use and provide written approval before a booking can be confirmed.

To ensure safe setup and operation, the host must provide proof of:

    Restroom/changing facilities on site

    Stable, level ground (minimum ___’ Γ— ___’)

Safe towing access and clearance from hazards

Ground stability and safety for guests

Compliance with local fire and event safety regulations

  • What should I bring/know?

    Swimsuit or comfortable sauna attire

Two towels β€” one to sit on, one to dry off

    Flip-flops or sandals

Hooks are available for coats and hats

Bottled water is available for purchase

Since our sauna is always on the move, space is limited. Each selected location includes restroom and changing facilities for guest use.

While we’re unable to store large items, individual lockers (approx. 12" x 12") with keys are provided for small personal belongings.
Please note that phones are not permitted inside the sauna at any time.

  • Where can I host a sauna event?

As a mobile sauna, Sauna Va Beach PNW can only operate on properties or event sites that are approved and permitted for temporary use.

Because each city, park, and private property has its own regulations, it’s the collaborator’s responsibility to confirm permitted land use and provide written approval before a booking can be confirmed.

    Hosts must also ensure:

Safe access for towing and setup

    Restroom/changing facilities on site

Adequate distance from structures or vegetation

Ground stability and safety for guests

We’ll happily provide setup dimensions and safety specs to make this process easy β€” but the final responsibility for permission and site readiness rests with the host.
